Getting Started Study Plans Materials Practice Tests Test Scoring

“My name is PJ and I followed the four-month LSAT self-study plan. I just recently took the July LSAT and I’m thrilled with my results. Four months ago my diagnostic test score was a 148. After following a rigorous study schedule I’m happy to announce that I had a 20 point improvement and scored a 168. I would like to thank you and your program for helping me in this process. I will surely recommend it to all future LSAT students.”

NEW! Digital LSAT Testing and Analytics Package Now Available!

The full contents of every disclosed LSAT exam are at your fingertips! You can use the questions in a variety of ways: take full tests, practice individual timed sections, work on specific question types in drill sets, or review your performance with our powerful analytics engine. Click here to find out more and subscribe.

Take a practice test.

There are a few ways to take practice tests, and in each of these scenarios, we’re here to help you get a better feel for your performance beyond just the raw score. Our LSAT scoring interface will provide a detailed analysis of your results and help you identify your strengths and weaknesses; information you can then use to shape your studies.

  1. Sign up for a free LSAC account and utilize the two free digital practice tests in the  Official LSAT Prep program. After that, create a free PowerScore Self Study account below to utilize our free scoring analysis tool. Following the free practice test, you’ll input your answers here and then receive a detailed analysis of your score and performance.

  2. Purchase the $99 Prep Plus subscription from LSAC for access to over 60 digital practice tests. After taking any given test in LSAC’s system, you can create a free PowerScore Self Study account below, then input your answers to receive a much more detailed analysis of your score and performance for each test than what LSAC currently provides.

  3. Purchase the $99 Prep Plus subscription from LSAC and combine it with our Testing and Analytics Package. You’ll take the test on the PowerScore digital testing platform and immediately receive your score results and detailed analytics. We strongly recommend this option since it provides you with an immediate score report (no manual inputing of your answers), and in addition to even more full tests than LSAC’s database,  you’ll be able to practice individual timed sections (every individual section from PrepTests 1-89) or work on specific question types in drill sets.

  4. While the LSAT is administered digitally in North America, it’s still valuable to take paper practice tests if you have them, or you can download the June 2007 LSAT for free at http://www.lsac.org/jd/pdfs/sampleptjune.pdf. Use our virtual proctors below to time yourself, and then create a self study account and enter your scores into our Score Analysis Tool for an immediate analysis of your performance.

Score your practice tests using our LSAT Test Scoring System.

Get a detailed analysis of your practice test results to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses (information you can then use to shape your studies). By creating a unique user account, you’ll be able to track your performance on each section by question type, reasoning type, passage type, and time per question, both for individual tests and across your entire prep history. Please take full advantage of this remarkable free feature by creating your account today!

Note for LSAT-Flex Test Takers:

If you want to simulate a 3-section Flex test on your own, use our LSAT-Flex Score Converter to predict what your raw score would have been on the full test, then use the test’s scoring scale to determine your final scaled score.

Tired of manually entering your results to get to the analytics? Consider purchasing our Digital LSAT Testing and Analytics Package. Combine your LSAC Prep Plus Subscription with our powerful analytics for the ultimate self-study testing program. Take full tests, practice individual timed sections, work on specific question types in drill sets, or review your performance with our powerful analytics engine.

Note: If you have purchased a Digital Testing and Analytics Package or are an existing PowerScore Course student, please access the Self-Study Site via your Student Portal.

Analyze your results.

Once you have your initial test results, look carefully at your test breakdown, piece by piece. No matter what your result, do not overemphasize the score itself. Your initial practice LSAT is only meant to get a feel for what the test is all about and establish a starting point, not predict where you'll end up. You can expect to significantly improve over time!

Consider the areas described below, and ask yourself the following questions:

  • Your overall score. How did you do, and, if you have a target in mind, how far away from it are you?
  • Your success in each individual section. What's your best section? Your weakest section? Identifying your strengths and weaknesses will give you an initial focal point for your studies.
  • Your performance on individual concepts and question types. Within each section, what question types or game types gave you the most difficulty?

Our Test Scoring platform will provide this information for you, which can then be used to more precisely focus your efforts when drawing up your study plans. Early on, worry less about your final score and instead aim to eliminate any weaknesses you see. For a great article on how to review your practice tests, check out this post on our blog.

Use our Virtual Proctor for your paper practice tests.

While the LSAT is digital in North America, it’s still valuable to take paper practice tests if you have them! Use our virtual proctors to time yourself, and then enter your scores for an immediate analysis of your performance.
